Columbus AFB is a United States Air Force base located in Lowndes County, Mississippi. Tuscaloosa, AL (69 miles), Birmingham, AL (112 miles) & Houston, TX (546 miles) are some of the major surrounding cities It serves United States Air Force. It is home to the 14th Flying Training Wing of Air Education and Training Command's Nineteenth Air Force. The base is about 18.2 km (7.0 mi). It does not have a fixed troops strength as it is a training facility. It is used for statistical purposes by the United States Census Bureau as a census-designated place.
